Overview
The F-2 Points-based Visa is a residence visa issued to foreigners who score 80 points or above based on criteria including education, income, age, Korean language proficiency (TOPIK), and completion of the Korea Immigration & Integration Program (KIIP). It is commonly used by holders of E-7 or D-8 visas as a pathway to long-term residence.

Eligibility
- 1Total score of 80 points or above across all categories
- 2Currently holding a valid residence status
- 3No criminal record
- 4Income and tax payment requirements met

- Points calculation sheet and supporting documents
- Education certificate (degree/diploma)

- •Points are based on education (max 35), income (max 30), age (max 20), Korean proficiency (max 20), among other categories.
- •After holding F-2 points-based status for 3+ years, you can apply for F-5-16 permanent residency.
- •Points requirements must be maintained at the time of extension as well.
