Overview
The F-1 Family Visit Visa is for family members (parents, parents-in-law, etc.) of foreigners legally residing in Korea or Korean nationals who wish to stay for the purpose of cohabitation. Employment is restricted, and documents proving the family relationship are required.

Eligibility
- 1Proof of family relationship with a family member residing in Korea
- 2Sponsor (inviter) must hold a valid residence status
- 3Sponsor must demonstrate financial ability (income or assets)
- 4No criminal record or entry ban history
Required Documents
- Visa application form
- Passport copy
- Photo (3.5x4.5cm)
- Family relationship certificate (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.)
- Invitation letter
- Sponsor's alien registration card or ID copy
- Sponsor's employment and income certificates
- Accommodation proof (lease agreement)
- Guarantee letter

Important Notes
- •Employment is generally not permitted on the F-1 Family Visit visa. A separate work permit (activity outside status) is required for employment.
- •If the sponsor's residence status expires, the F-1 visa may also be affected.
- •Stay can be extended in 1-year increments, linked to the sponsor's period of stay.
